Waterloo family photography is my favorite!

Don’t be fooled by these photos though - this sweet family and I literally waited out a full on severe thunder storm in the parking lot of this conservation area before their shoot!

How dreamy is a forest after a fresh snowfall? I mean I am not a huge Winter person overall but there’s nothing quite as beautiful and magical as snow covered trees! Josh & Des, knowing they were getting married in August, decided on a Winter Wonderland engagement session and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

When Kathleen & Joel explained that they got engaged at Elora Mill when J had surprised K with a night away, I knew that Elora Mill & the Elora gorge was the perfect place for their engagement session and the perfect way to tie their story together. (through photos :))

When Meghan reached out over Instagram asking if I’d photograph this exciting time in their family I was so so excited. Given that I was also pregnant at the time my goal was just to make it until our scheduled session date without going into labour myself.

I was so excited to meet this adorable family after chatting back and forth on instagram! The Flaherty family are not only gorgeous but also so sweet. I love the challenge of capturing kids at different ages, and they made it so easy even doing a sunset session

This sweet fam is obsessed with baseball so naturally for their sweet boy Enoc's first birthday they celebrated Blue Jays style, at a baseball diamond, with some sweet family fun that I got to document!

When the Craus family messaged me wanting to have an adventurous, outdoor Kitchener maternity photography session I was so excited and knew I had the perfect location! Just 15 minutes outside of Kitchener we went to this conservation area that had it all - trees, fields, swamps, water, gorgeous long grass, and all the rest.

On a gloomy freezing cold evening in the Spring I was privileged to be a part of this gorgeous Elora elopement styled shoot and it was just dreamy.

When Tony & Clare started planning their engagement session they decided to plan an engagement session in downtown Kitchener exactly one year before their wedding! It was so fun to walk around and dream of their day that would happen a year later at the beautiful Walper Hotel.

Getting to work photograph all of my nieces and nephews to date has been such an honour. Here are some quick photos I was able to snap of my newborn nephew Leo after he got home from a two week stay at the NICU after being born 6 weeks early! Here he is healthy, strong, and growing at home.

Too often, families with adult children forget to prioritize family photos or somehow think they’ve outgrown them! I think that it’s actually much the opposite. (and not just because I’m a photographer :)) Every stage of family life is important and should be captured. Time with loved ones and family members truly is precious - and no matter how old or young you are, it’s always valuable.

I’m from Newfoundland living in Ontario. Kristina is from Halifax, NS and is living in Kelowna, BC & Thomas is from Edmonton living in Kelowna, BC. The two were married in Halifax, Nova Scotia and now plan to move to Mongolia in 2020.

Family photos are always so special. I especially love getting to track with families for years. The MacGregor family is one of those families that I’ve been able to photograph since the kids were just babies.

Here in Canada most people shy away from family photography in the Winter - but I’ll let you in on a secret… I love Winter family photography sessions! This beautiful family wanted to just wander in the woods near their family home in Waterloo mid January (coffee + tea in hand of course) and had such a gorgeous session as a result.

When the Ferguson family reached out to me asking me to photograph their family just one week before their oldest sons wedding I was so excited. I knew that capturing these memories before their family changed forever (in a great way) would be not only special to look back on but also special to capture.
