Rachel + Kurtis - Wedding
Rachel and Kurtis had a beautiful wedding day that incorporated some really cool family traditions. They got married at Hartford Baptist Church, which was the same church that Rachel’s parents and grandparents were married at (how special is that?!) They also had their reception at Rachel’s grandpa’s farm.
They had a fall wedding and pretty much experienced every type of weather you can expect in the fall over the course of the day - from rain in the morning to beautiful sunny skies, to a crazy storm off in the distance, to sun again at sunset!
This was a great reminder not panic if you face unexpected weather on your wedding day. Even if the weather seems like it’s going to be total crap, you can still get amazing pictures - and potentially amazing weather if you just wait until the end of the day. We were able to get the most amazing sunset pictures of Rachel and Kurtis at the end, made even more beautiful by the parting clouds.
Kurtis and Rachel’s wedding day was sweet, simple, and elegant. They had a lot of special and unique elements like having a pie instead of a cake, amazing looking tarts for dessert, and homemade jams as favours.
