Michelle + Owen - Amazing Drive-In Wedding

Like so many other couples married over the past few years, Michelle and Owen had to completely change their wedding plans due to pandemic restrictions. When they planned their wedding in June 2021, the restrictions at the time stated couples were only allowed to have 10 guests on a private property.

So, this couple got super creative and the results were amazing. They changed their plans to include a ‘drive in’ ceremony, with only their parents sitting in at the ceremony with them. Both Michelle and Owen have large families, and their siblings and extended families all attended by watching from their vehicles while the ceremony took place in Michelle’s backyard.

This wedding was really so personal - Michelle’s uncle performed the ceremony, and since they were not having a reception, their parents gave speeches right after the ceremony instead. It really made for so many sweet moments.

You will also notice the beautiful floral backdrop in the ceremony pictures - Michelle’s sister owns a flower farm that sources flowers to florists. Michelle actually works at this farm too, and was able to personally select the florals for her bouquet and decor, which made it even more special.

After the ceremony, Michelle and Owen had the opportunity to greet all of their guests and give them a packaged high tea lunch (that Michelle and her mom made), which was part of their original wedding plan. Before the end of the day, the couple read letters that their family members wrote to them - a perfect keepsake from such a wonderful and special day.
