Jon + Meg - Cozy Maternity Session
Jon and Meg are dear friends of mine. They are actually the videographers at Bonsai Creative that I collaborate with! When they asked me to shoot their maternity (bump) session, the birth of their son, and their newborn photos, it was a true honour.
I also photographed their maternity session for their middle child as well, and it’s been such a treat to get to follow along with them and watch their family grow.
For these maternity photos, Jon and Meg decided to do an in-home session as we were shooting on a cold February day. When you take a look at the gallery below, you will see that we had the most magical morning light shining through their bedroom. It made for the most beautiful, cozy, intimate photos.
I was also able to document a special moment as Meg wrote out some of her birth affirmations in a journal, which her kids later coloured in and made for a beautiful keepsake.
I am so happy that I was able to capture maternity pictures for a second time for this family. While outdoor pictures can be beautiful, this session is a great example of how gorgeous in-home photos can be too.

I love having the opportunity to do maternity (bump) sessions. Pregnancy can be challenging, but it’s also a beautiful and exciting time!
