Haley + Nik - Hamilton Lakeview Wedding
Haley and Nik met while doing field work out west as part of their undergrad degrees. While they were both McMaster students at the time, they didn’t meet until their trip to BC. Many years of friendship eventually turned into something more, and these two got together and were engaged in May 2021!
Haley and Nik got married in April 2022 in Hamilton. Their venue, The Lakeview, is right on the water and was an absolutely gorgeous location. While the cool spring air was a bit chilly, the weather cooperated and gave them a perfect sunny afternoon.
Since the two met at McMaster, we shot their first look pictures there and it was super special. Choosing a meaningful location for a first look can make that moment all the more memorable.
We also shot their family and wedding party pictures there too - it was both a really special and beautiful place for photos. Because McMaster has so many amazing older buildings, it helped create some shade even in the middle of a bright and sunny afternoon.
Haley and Nik’s wedding was honestly full of so much laughter. Nik’s two sisters acted as their MCs for the wedding and they were just hilarious! Looking at the photos, you can see everyone with a constant smile on their faces.
It was so wonderful watching the couple get to fully enjoy their day spent with friends and family. We got to capture some really sweet moments between the couple and their nieces and nephews, and it was clear from the whole day that there was so much love between everyone there.
