Blair + Liz - Wedding
Blair and Liz had an absolutely magical winter wedding. They got married on New Years Day 2022 on Liz’s sister’s property up north. While they had to pivot a lot due to the pandemic restrictions at the time, this couple totally made it work and it was a beautiful day from start to finish.
From the moment I met this couple I knew they were super cool, flexible and fun (like, for real - they live in a converted school bus!) When I did their engagement shoot, they brought their canoe and we did some really fun shots with that. I loved getting the chance to get to know Blair and Liz more and see how totally down to earth they are.
Blair and Liz are definitely an outdoorsy couple who loves camping and spending time in nature, so this cozy Northern Ontario wedding seemed like the perfect fit for them. They made the most of the cold weather and had really elegant winter attire, they gave their grandparents blankets, and had a fire going outside.
I also have to say that I loved how their first look played out! Blair’s expression was so authentic and just perfect and a great example of how amazing a first look can be if you choose to do that on your wedding day.
The day was really special and you could feel the love from all of their family and friends. For family who couldn’t be there, they were able to watch online, so that was really nice.
One thing that I totally loved was that Liz had crocheted napkins close family members and customized them to use as placeholders at their seats. They also collected and curated a bunch of vintage dishwear to use as their decor. It was SO stunning.
Due to the covid restrictions, they ended up having their reception in a garage and you would literally never have guessed that it was a garage! It really goes to show that if you’re flexible and you work with what you’ve got, you can still make something super beautiful.
This wedding was shot by my amazing associate Olivia, as I was recovering after just having my second daughter! Our team of associates is amazing! So thankful for them.
