April + Trevor - Wedding
April and Trevor planned to have their wedding on New Year’s Day 2021, but unfortunately Ontario announced another lockdown with significant restrictions a few days before Christmas. Deciding that they didn’t want to wait, April and Trevor pulled off an amazing wedding in just three days.
The lockdown was announced on a Monday, and their wedding was now set two days later on Wednesday. This couple had to do some major pivoting but thankfully had a ton of help from their family and friends to pull it all off.
Honestly, it turned out freaking amazing! Their wedding day ended up being on December 23rd in April’s parent’s backyard. Because of the restrictions, their caterer EVO Kitchen catered boxed meals to the property (and by the way, the food was delicious!)
I couldn’t believe how well they made it happen. It was raining and snowing and the weather ended up being so weird but they had heaters outside and their family were comfortable and so happy to get to see this couple celebrate their love for one another.
I actually ran into April and Trevor recently and they said that they absolutely don’t regret their decision at all and are so happy with how their wedding went.
Because of the quick timing and restrictions, the only people in attendance at their wedding were immediate family and many of them couldn’t make it to get pictures done because they were literally working that day. So we ended up taking pictures with their families in March, once restrictions eased and everyone had time to plan.
This is actually a great idea if you plan to elope or end up having a destination wedding but want to have pictures with more family members or friends after you return!
